BECKY BROCK - OWNER, EVENT PLANNER + DESIGNER
Becky has been in the event industry for more than eleven years and is a familiar face on the pages of Brides of Austin, The Knot, Martha Stewart, Southern Living and more.
After co-founding her first company in 2009, Becky decided to take her creativity and expertise to the next level with the creation of Brock + Co. Events. This boutique event planning business focuses on a deeper level of customer engagement + creative collaboration. Quality vs. quantity is her favorite phrase.
Based in Austin, Becky and her team specialize in events where Austin isn’t necessarily the hometown, but the destination. And where the city itself is the backdrop — a part of the event’s appeal.
Known for her fun sense of humor and approachable personality, Becky has an insatiable curiosity and seemingly endless energy when it comes to concepting and delivering on creative and luxurious events. When it comes to her clients, she’s always on the quest for the next big thing. She sweats the details. And she believes that the work doesn’t stop until the event is perfect.
Becky is also an established leader in the Austin event industry with years of strong vendor relationships and an impressive roster of clients, as well as a portfolio of expertly-designed and executed complex events.
In her pre-event world days, Becky spent 10+ years in the trenches of the advertising world, working with clients such as Hyatt Hotels, Cargill Foods and HEB/Central Market. The business education and lessons learned in managing such high-profile clients and their needs have proven to be invaluable.
In all of her spare time, Becky volunteers for and supports Meals on Wheels, Hospice Austin, Covenant Presbyterian Church and Lil Paws Rescue (ask her about her three rescue babies!). She is a lobster roll fanatic and you'll find her escaping the Austin summers on the Maine coast.
LAUREN ROTHWELL - LOGISTICS MANAGER
Lauren hails from Houston, TX with over three years of catering and luxury event planning experience at A Fare Extraordinaire. From intimate showers to Texas-sized corporate events, Lauren’s background in planning and logistics is the perfect pair for Brock + Co.
As a fellow Longhorn and lover of all things Austin, Lauren made the big move back and found her new home at Brock + Co. Events. Fun fact — Lauren’s first job was working for Jenny DeMarco Photography, one of Brock + Co’s favorite photographers! The Austin event world is no stranger to Lauren + she is so excited to dive back into the party.
Away from her desk, you can find Lauren dining at her favorite restaurants (follow her on Instagram @spoonful_of_tx) and exploring all things outdoors in Austin.
MATTIE COBB - EVENT ASSISTANT
Mattie joined Brock + Co. Events in 2017 after seeing the B+Co. team tackle two large + complicated back-to-back events for her family. Her role on the team is focused on day-of management, assisting our clients with their needs + ensuring plans are executed to perfection!
Mattie hails from Midland and is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University. Her event experience includes planning social events at Deloitte, overseeing Kappa Alpha Theta's sorority events, continuing design education at UT and a wide array of experiences with the Brock + Co. team.
KACY WREN - EVENT DESIGNER
A proud Longhorn, Kacy cut her teeth on planning events for her college sorority and fell in love. From there, she was drawn to the world of Public Relations, with an impressive roster of lifestyle and corporate events, as well as multiple fashion shows and runway production.
As fate would have it, she found her way to Brock + Co. as an intern and decided she would make it her new home. Since her start at Brock + Co. in 2014, she has been an integral part of the team, assisting with the design, planning and execution of large parties and many Texas-sized weddings. Her calm nature and small-town sweetness (Brenham Texas, y’all) make her a perfect fit for the wild world of events.
Kacy's hobbies include planning her own wedding, furthering her wine education, planning her next trip to Italy and redecorating her Hyde Park pad.
KAT GRIFFIN - EVENT PRODUCTION
Kat joined the Brock + Co. team in 2017 after spending over 10 years in the trenches of concert and music festival production. Her experience in large-scale project management has left Kat a logistical master -- ready to tackle any task with efficiency and accuracy. Kat recognizes the importance of balance between the client’s overall goals and the fine logistics of each event from concept to completion.
Kat does whatever it takes to execute the perfect event, whether it's taking the reins on a forklift or leading a Conga line as a former Mitzvah Pump Up Dancer. Kat's spunky East Coast attitude and unwavering passion lends perfectly to the high-energy events produced by Brock + Co.
Outside of the office, you can catch Kat exploring her new city to its fullest -- from practicing her moves with the Austin Ballet to taking full advantage of the Live Music Capital of the World.
